Automation Technician (M/F) – Permanent Position – Saverne (67)

  • Contract type: Permanent contract – 39 hours

  • Location: Saverne (67) – Worldwide travel
  • Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience

Reporting directly to the Head of the Automation Design Office, you will join a team of four employees.

  • Program PLCs by specifying the sequence and nature of the tasks to be performed by the system;
  • Program, modify, and improve complex industrial monitoring solutions (e.g., production line monitoring);
  • Define and design the overall architecture of equipment programs;
  • Conduct testing and trial runs in the workshop in collaboration with the assemblers;
  • Update the software for automated systems;
  • Record and document changes to the programs developed;
  • Provide on-site and remote Level 1 and 2 technical support to customers;
  • Monitor technical developments in products and software;

Business travels to our clients in France and abroad:

  • Conduct commissioning tests at the customer’s site in collaboration with the customer’s technicians;
  • Provide technical expertise and training to line operators;
  • Proficiency in TIA Portal software for programming Siemens industrial controllers and operator panels;
  • Proficiency in database management (SQL queries) using Microsoft SQL, JavaScript, and C#;
  • Proficiency in the Siemens supervision language (WinCC Pro; WinCC Unified);
  • Knowledge of the Rockwell PLC language (Studio 5000) would be a plus;
  • Proficiency in English (spoken/written); proficiency in a second language is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) in Electronic Engineering, Automation, Industrial Computing, or Industrial Systems Engineering;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position; particular attention will be given to candidates with experience in industrial computing;
  • You are thorough, organized in your work, and enjoy working as part of a team;
  • Traveling an average of 7 days per month within Europe and internationally;
